The differential pressure flowmeter is a meter that measures flow based on the differential pressure generated by a flow detection element installed in a pipeline, a known fluid condition, and the geometry of the detection element and the pipeline. The differential pressure flowmeter consists of a primary device (test piece) and a secondary device (differential pressure conversion and flow display instrument). The differential pressure flowmeters are usually classified based on the type of test piece , such as hole pull flowmeter, venturi flowmeter, and constant velocity tube flowmeter.

Differential Pressure Flowmeter Installation Requirements:

Differential Pressure Flowmeter Installation Details:
First of all, see if you are measuring gas, liquid or steam. Gas pressure is preferably in the upper part of the pipeline; liquid pressure in the side but not immediately below the pressure, the sediment will block the pressure of the mouth; steam, then take the pressure in the side of the pipeline;
2. Do not make mistakes in the direction of the orifice plate. The mark "+" is positive, "-" is negative, and "+" is the direction that faces the fluid.
3. The positive and negative pressure taps leading to the pressure tube should be kept parallel in all cases;
4. Orifice plates are generally used with differential pressure transmitters. When connecting a pressure-conducting tube to a differential pressure transmitter, note that the positive and negative pressure should not be installed in reverse. "H" is positive and "L" is negative;
5. When measuring the gas, the differential pressure device is recommended to be placed above the pipe. If the liquid is on the bottom of the pipe, measure the steam. If there is a condensation tank, keep the condensation tank at the same level.
6. Forget straight pipe requirements, the orifice plate should have a calculation book, you find that there is a straight pipe length required to calculate the mounting hole plate before and after the installation, preferably according to that, if you can not find, you can follow the front 20D after 10D to install (D refers to the aperture plate)
