According to a report recently by Bloomberg, Opel officials stated that General Motors will continue to retain its Opel brand for at least ten years. The statement confirmed the same statement of September 5, 2011 GM executives. During the visit of Volker Bouffier, governor of Hesse, Opel, Germany, to the United States, Robert Ferguson, vice president of global communications at General Motors, told GM that GM would not sell the Opel brand within the next few years.
