Fujian Pinghe Copper Mine Concentrator

(I) Overview The mine is located in Pinghe County, Yinzhou District, Fujian Province.
Beneficiation plant in early 1969 and put into production, design scale of 10 tons / day, the actual production capacity of 75 to 80 tons / day, the recovery of copper, molybdenum, sulfur three products.
The mining method is a layered caving method. The mining is carried out in Pingyi, and the ore is lifted by the slope to the original ore warehouse of the ore dressing plant.

The mine is powered by diesel with an installed capacity of 530 watts. The concentrator has a mounting capacity of 271 watts. Due to the insufficient normality of diesel power generation, the concentrating plant has a low operating rate.
(II) Process 1. Mineral properties The mine belongs to the medium temperature hydrothermal porphyry copper deposit. Metallic minerals include pyrite, chalcopyrite, molybdenite and the secondary copper sulfide, sphalerite like. The gangue minerals are feldspar , quartz , biotite , chlorite and the like.
The ore inlays are coarser in size and are distributed in the gangue with dilute and densely infused bodies. The oxidation rate of the ore body is low, but the oxidation rate is high in the old cave section, and there is more mud, which has a greater impact on the selection index. The surrounding rock of the ore body is mainly biotite porphyry. The ore hardness is f=8~12, and the ore has a true specific gravity of 2.8.
2. Process The ore usually contains 1.14% copper, 0.04% molybdenum and 5-10% sulfur. It is broken into two sections and one closed circuit. The original ore size is 200~0 mm, and the final product size is 18~0 mm. The original ore is milled to -5 mesh point 55% for copper and molybdenum mixed flotation. The process structure is secondary rough selection, secondary selection, and three sweeps. The copper-molybdenum separation flotation is a rough selection, four selections, and the separation flotation tailings is a copper concentrate. The flotation tailings are selected for sulfur, and the process is secondary rough selection, secondary sweeping, and sweep cleaning. The copper concentrate is concentrated and filtered for two stages of dehydration, and the filter cake contains 10-12% water. The molybdenum and sulfur concentrates are dewatered by a sedimentation tank. The process flow and technical conditions are shown in the figure below.

The molybdenum concentrate obtained from the ore dressing contains only about 40% molybdenum (unqualified). The reasons may be: 1) insufficient grinding fineness, incomplete separation of copper and molybdenum monomers; 2) less selection of copper and molybdenum separation.
