The meeting was chaired by Director Chen Hong of the Metrology Division of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. Deputy Attorney Ma Sulin of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine introduced the purpose of this seminar -- the Fujian Institute of Metrology adopted the principle of high-precision weighing instrument using hydraulic force measurement principle. The measuring instrument has passed the appraisal and it is hoped that the relevant instrument manufacturers will give opinions and suggestions on the application of the device to the actual verification of large scales.
Liu Quangong from Fujian Bureau of Quality Supervision first introduced the development of a high-precision weighing load measuring instrument using the principle of hydraulic force measurement. The device has passed the technical appraisal of the expert group and achieved phased results. The prototype has successfully verified the three truck scales. After listening to the introduction, the delegates visited the experimental equipment on site and had a lively discussion in the afternoon.
The delegates affirmed the originality and advancement of the device and believed that it is a good device to solve the current lack of verification methods in special situations in China. However, this device cannot replace the weight transfer task. In addition, the accuracy, long-term stability, reliability, and legitimacy of the traceability of the device have yet to be further explored. The development unit stated that the device will be further improved based on everyone’s opinions and suggestions.
