China drying wire Reuters a new standard European plastics recycling industry will come into effect in August, the company will have access to compliance EuCertPlast certification. The European plastic recycling industry consists of 1,500 companies and can recover more than 4.5 million tons of plastic waste each year. It is understood that it is often difficult to know whether these materials have been recycled or re-entered the market. Therefore, a unified European recycling system for plastics is necessary.

The EuCertPlast certification aims to standardize the industry's outstanding examples of waste traceability, environmental friendliness, and recycling transparency to increase plastics recycling and transparency in corporate operations. The standard will strictly comply with European Standardization Committee's standard 15343 on plastic recycling and current national standards.

The EuCertPlast certification will include the raw material types, equipment handling capacity, processed products, recycling ratios, business transparency levels, and the amount of waste plastics handled in the past for a period of time in the plastic recycling company. If you want to get this certification, plastic recycling companies must first meet a series of regulations. Among them, whether or not you have the right plastic recycling permit, how to dispose of waste during the operation of the plant, how to discharge the waste water, and how to control energy consumption are all factors to be examined.

The EuCertPlast project began in 2009 with the participation of the European Plastics Recycling Association (EuPR) and the European Association of Plastics Recycling and Recycling Organisations (EPRO). The European Plastics Processing Association (EuPC) and several plastics processing and recycling companies also participated in the project. At present, COREPLA, an Italian plastic recycling organization, has expressed its intention to supervise its plastic recycling companies based on the EuCertPlast standard. By 2013, EuCertPlast will be included in the German Blue Angels program.

Alexander Danges, managing director of EuPC, said: “Now companies with good performance in the field of plastic recycling can get this certification, which will promote the use of recycled plastics by more and more plastic processors.” Eu E.P. Chairman Tom Ehmann Sith pointed out that "Europe needs a coordination system" and EuCertPlast has created a level playing field for European plastic recyclers.
