The Urban Rail Transit Association's Operation Management Committee was established

On June 24, the Operational Management Committee of the China Urban Rail Transit Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Committee”) was formally established. Feng Zhenglin, Vice Minister of Transportation, and Bao Xuding, President of China Urban Rail Transit Association, attended the meeting and unveiled the joint committee.

This special committee is the first professional committee of the China Urban Rail Transit Association approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is affiliated with the Institute of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Transport and currently has 49 member units. The main functions of the special committee are to carry out investigations and studies on rail transit operations management, standard formulation, policy promotion, results appraisal, business training, technology promotion, and consulting services.

Feng Zhenglin said that the Ministry of Transport will vigorously support the work of the China Urban Rail Transit Association and the special committees. He hopes that the special committee will strengthen its own construction, speed up the establishment of regulations and regulations, formulate policies and regulations, study major issues, and improve service levels in the industry. The role of bridge ties and the promotion of industry self-regulation play an important role.

Feng Zhenglin emphasized that all localities and cities should deeply understand the State Council and the Ministry of Transport’s guidance and implementation opinions on giving priority to the development of public transport, and in accordance with the characteristics of the city, insist on planning guidance, overall coordination, and promote the scientific and orderly development of urban rail transit. It is necessary to effectively strengthen the operational safety management of urban rail transit, and regard safety as an important principle and the first prerequisite for all work, and correctly handle the relationship between speed, safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsible for the implementation of safety production responsibilities, strictly control operational safety management from operational basic conditions, safety assessment, quality management, qualification management, etc., vigorously carry out safety production inspections, and effectively prevent operational accidents, especially serious accidents and injuries. .

Bao Xuding hopes that the special committee will abide by the rules and regulations, give full play to the initiative of the work, and serve the industry, enterprises, and cities. It will devote itself to the research of major issues and key technologies and become the disseminator of new knowledge, new technologies, and new ideas.

As of the end of 2012, 15 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou have opened urban rail transit, with a total mileage of 2,058 kilometers. It is estimated that by the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, there will be more than 20 cities that have opened urban rail transit, and the total mileage of operating routes will exceed 3,000 kilometers.
